From the producers of GenderTalk radio and GenderTalk.com, GenderVision continues the ground-breaking work of challenging and expanding our vision of gender and progressive politics. Discussions range from sex and gender to masculinity, femininity, transgender, intersex, GLBT, feminist and men’s and women’s issues, as well as stereotypes of women and men.
GenderVision is intended for multiple audiences, and is an excellent teaching tool for educators, organizations and libraries interested in diversity, sex and gender, and human rights. It is also intended for any audience with an interest in gender issues. DVDs are available for most programs.
Nancy Nangeroni and Gordene O. MacKenzie, PhD. produce and co-host GenderVision, which is taped at BevCam cable access studio in Beverly, MA. Dr. MacKenzie is a longtime gender activist and author of Transgender Nation, who now serves as an associate professor and director of the Womens and Gender Studies Program at Merrimack College. Ms. Nangeroni is a longtime transgender activist, founder of GenderTalk Radio , former executive director of the International Foundation for Gender Education , and current Chair of the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition. Gordene and Nancy are also life partners who have been working together on gender education and advocacy since 1998; they co-hosted the renowned GenderTalk radio program for over 9 years.
Inquiries from local cable access channels are welcomed; individuals are encouraged to request that their local cable channel show GenderVision.
